Accessibility
Last updated: 2 October 2026
At a glance
- We want everyone to be able to shop at Mendly, and we aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
- Some content – particularly third-party features such as payment pages and embedded media – may not yet fully meet this standard.
- If anything on our site is difficult to use, email contact@mendlyshop.com with the subject "Accessibility" and we will help – including by helping you place your order another way.
1. Our commitment
Mendly, operated by Norvelle LLC, is committed to making https://mendlyshop.com accessible to as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or keyboard-only navigation.
2. Standard and conformance status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines are also the basis of the European accessibility standard EN 301 549. Based on our own checks, our website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, which means that some content does not yet fully conform. We have not yet carried out an independent accessibility audit.
3. What we do
Measures we take to support accessibility include:
- using a standards-based Shopify theme with meaningful headings, landmarks and semantic HTML;
- supporting keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators;
- providing text alternatives for meaningful images and clear labels for form fields;
- checking colour contrast and not relying on colour alone to convey information;
- allowing text to be resized and content to reflow on small screens;
- avoiding flashing content and audio that plays automatically; and
- checking new pages and features for accessibility and fixing issues that are reported to us.
4. Known limitations
- Third-party content: some parts of our site are provided by third parties, including the checkout and payment pages operated by Shopify and our payment providers (such as PayPal and Whop), review widgets and embedded videos. We cannot fully control their accessibility, but we take accessibility into account when choosing providers and report issues to them.
- Images and videos: some product images, illustrative images and videos may have incomplete text alternatives, captions or transcripts, or may contain text that is not fully described.
- Customer content: photos and other content in customer reviews may not include text alternatives.
- Interactive elements: some sliders, pop-ups (such as sign-up forms) and product option selectors may not yet work perfectly with every assistive technology.
We are working to fix these issues. If you encounter a barrier, please let us know so that we can help (see Section 6).
5. Compatibility and technical specifications
Our site is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers (such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge) and with common assistive technologies, including the VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA and JAWS screen readers. It relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA. Older browsers and assistive technologies may not display or announce all features correctly.
6. Feedback and assistance
If you have difficulty using any part of our site, or need information in a different format:
- email contact@mendlyshop.com with the subject "Accessibility", or use our contact form; and
- tell us the web address or product concerned, the problem you experienced and, if you wish, which browser and assistive technology you use.
We aim to reply within 2 business days. We can provide product information in an accessible format and help you place an order – for example, by emailing you a secure checkout link for the items you want.
7. How we assess accessibility
We assess our site by self-evaluation, using automated testing tools together with manual checks – including keyboard-only navigation and screen reader testing – on key pages and journeys such as the home page, product pages, the cart and the contact form.
8. If you are not satisfied
If you are not satisfied with our response, reply to us with the subject "Accessibility complaint" and we will review your complaint. You may also be able to contact the authority responsible for accessibility or consumer protection in your country.
9. About this statement
This statement was prepared on 2 October 2026. We will review it at least once a year and whenever we make significant changes to our website. See also our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Contact information.
