Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
At a glance
- We use strictly necessary cookies to run our store – for example, to keep items in your cart, process checkout, keep the site secure and remember your privacy choices.
- Preference, analytics and marketing cookies and pixels may be active when you visit our store. You can switch off any of these categories at any time.
- To make or change your choices, use "Cookie preferences" in our website footer – it lets you accept or reject each category.
- We honour Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising.
This Cookie Policy explains how Norvelle LLC ("Mendly", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on https://mendlyshop.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include pixels and tags (small pieces of code that report when a page is viewed or an action is taken), local storage and server-side connections that send information about events in our store (such as a purchase) directly from our systems to a partner. In this policy, we refer to all of these as "cookies".
Cookies set by our store – including those set by Shopify, which runs our store – are "first-party" cookies. Cookies set by other organisations, such as analytics or advertising partners, are "third-party" cookies. "Session" cookies are deleted when you close your browser; "persistent" cookies remain for a set period or until you delete them.
2. The types of cookies we use
| Category | What it does | Your choice |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Makes the store work: cart, checkout, security, fraud prevention and remembering your privacy choices. | Always active – the store cannot work without them. |
| Preferences | Remembers choices that make your visit more convenient, such as recently viewed products or your preferred language, currency or region where this is not strictly necessary. | Active by default. You can switch them off at any time in "Cookie preferences". |
| Analytics | Helps us understand how visitors use our store (for example, which pages are visited and how people find us), so that we can improve it. | Active by default. You can switch them off at any time in "Cookie preferences". |
| Marketing | Measures the performance of our ads and shows you relevant ads on other websites and apps, such as social networks. | Active by default. You can switch them off at any time in "Cookie preferences". In the US, you can also opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (see Section 6). |
When you switch a category off, our store and the partner tools connected to it stop using the related cookies and pixels from then on, and your choice is remembered on that browser.
3. Cookies set by Shopify
Our store runs on Shopify, which sets cookies such as those below. Shopify may change the names and durations of its cookies over time; its current list is in Shopify's Cookie Policy.
| Cookie | Purpose | Category | Duration |

| _shopify_essential | Essential store functions, such as session and checkout information and anti-tampering data | Strictly necessary | 1 year |

| _shopify_y | Shopify analytics – recognises returning visitors | Analytics | 1 year |
| _shopify_s | Shopify analytics – identifies a browsing session | Analytics | 30 minutes |
| _shopify_analytics | Analytics data for the storefront and checkout | Analytics | 1 year |
| _shopify_marketing | Marketing data for the storefront and checkout, such as which campaign brought you to us | Marketing | 1 year |
4. Analytics and advertising partners
We may use the partners below. Their cookies and pixels are only active if the relevant tool is enabled on our store and you have not switched off the related category in "Cookie preferences". Durations are approximate and are set by each partner.
| Partner | Purpose | Category | Examples (approx. duration) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Website statistics | Analytics | _ga, _ga_* (up to 2 years) |
| Google Ads | Measuring ad conversions and showing relevant ads | Marketing | _gcl_au (90 days) |
| Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel and Conversions API | Measuring ads, building audiences and showing relevant ads | Marketing | _fbp, _fbc (90 days) |
| Pinterest Tag and Conversions API | Measuring ads and showing relevant ads | Marketing | _pin_unauth, _epik (up to 1 year) |
| TikTok Pixel and Events API | Measuring ads and showing relevant ads | Marketing | _ttp (up to 13 months) |
| Klaviyo (if used for our emails and texts) | Sign-up forms and tailoring our marketing messages to your activity in our store | Marketing | __kla_id (up to 2 years) |
| Payment providers (such as Shop Pay, PayPal and Whop) | Processing payments securely and preventing fraud when you pay | Strictly necessary | Set by the provider on its own payment pages or elements |
Where we use server-side tools (such as Meta's Conversions API), we send event information – for example, that a purchase was made, its value and a hashed (scrambled) email address – only in line with your cookie choices. Our partners may combine this information with other information they hold and use it for their own purposes, as described in their privacy notices: Google, Meta, Pinterest, TikTok and Klaviyo.
5. How to manage your choices
- "Cookie preferences". We use Shopify's customer privacy tools. Using "Cookie preferences" in our website footer, you can accept or reject preference, analytics and marketing cookies, category by category, at any time. Your choice is stored in the _tracking_consent cookie and applied on your next visits.
- Changing your mind. You can change your choices as often as you like using "Cookie preferences" in our website footer. A change does not affect any use of cookies before you made it. To remove cookies that have already been set, you can also clear them in your browser.
- Your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of our store (such as the cart and checkout) will not work.
- Ad settings. You can also control how ads are personalised in your account settings with Google, Meta, Pinterest and TikTok, and in the advertising settings of your mobile device.
6. Global Privacy Control, "Do Not Sell or Share" and Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information and of targeted advertising, as required by applicable US state privacy laws. The opt-out applies to the browser that sends the signal. You can also opt out using "Your Privacy Choices" (Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information) in our website footer.
There is no common industry standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, so our store does not respond to them. We do, however, honour Global Privacy Control as described above.
7. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when we change the cookies we use. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
8. Contact us
If you have questions about cookies, email contact@mendlyshop.com with the subject "Privacy request". More information about how we use personal data is in our Privacy Policy.
